The 2024 WSOP Online continues to heat up the GG Network with more bracelets being snatched up at online platform Natural8. To date, 12 bracelets have been won with the last five events seeing Asian players come very close to golden glory. Japan’s Seiichi Kanemitsu, China’s Chuan Feng, Hanwen Tao, Hong Kong’s “GLAPEP” all placed second, and Philippine’s Marc Rivera finished third. Among the newly minted were first ever WPT Cambodia Championship winner Konstantin Held and Greek pro Ourania Zarkantzia for his career second bracelet.

Asian Players At The Final Table
Asian players have been seen at nearly every final table of the WSOP Online however were unable to turn it to gold during the last five events. At Event #9: $320 Bounty NLH with 3,610 entries generating a prize pool of US$ 1,074,336, three players from Asia reached the final table. India players “Easyships” and Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram “SoonaPaana” finished 5th (US$ 28,976) and 6th (US$ 27,558), going further was Japan’s Seiichi Kanemitsu “songu227” with a runner-up finish for US$ 59,766. Portugal’s Acacio Bispo “Maestro_10” took it to the limit for his first gold bracelet and a payout of US$ 107,204.
Another close call was at Event #11: Flip & Go NLH where 7,346 built a prize pool of US$ 1,228,920. Three players also reached the final table, Malaysia’s “Lucky Ming” who locked up 9th place for US$ 20,704, Philippine’s Marc Rivera with a 3rd place finish for US$ 98,419, and China’s Hanwen Tao “lonelyback” finishing in 2nd place for US$ 127,629. Rivera was eliminated on a three-way clash holding , Canada’s Michael Khan , and Tao , the board was . Khan went on to defeat Tao to win his first WSOP gold bracelet and largest WSOP career payout of US$ 165,549.
Konstantin Held Wins Bracelet At Mini Main NLH
Event #12 $500 Mini Main Event NLH pulled in 9,220 entries across numerous starting flights for a prize pool of US$ 4,379,500. Out of the 952 players that reached the money round, Germany’s Konstantin Held “Shane Gillis” clinched it to rake in the largest cut worth US$ 574,199. This was Held’s first ever WSOP gold bracelet win and best career score. Held is having a strong year with a kick off victory in January at the inaugural WPT Cambodia Championship.
For Asia-Pacific, China’s Chuan Feng missed the gold by one spot, finishing runner-up for US$ 442,581. Down the rung were Australia’s Yongjia Lin “Yongjia” in 4th place for US$ 263,179, and Vietnam’s Trong Hieu Ngo “OverTheTop113” in 9th place for US$ 71,783.
Ourania Zarkantzia Locks Up Career Second Bracelet At 5-Card PLO
Another WSOP Online bracelet for Greek pro Ourania Zarkantzia “Hakuna@Matata” after taking down Event #10: $1,000 5-Card PLO. Zarkantzia outlasted the swings for a payout of US$ 103,674. The event attracted 709 entries for a prize pool of US$ 673,550. Two years back, Zarkantzia won his first gold bracelet at the 2022 WSOP Online Colossus Event.
