The 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas may have concluded in July with 99 gold bracelets awarded in person, along with several more from the online events on American soil. However, poker players don’t have to wait until the WSOP Europe or the second edition of WSOP Paradise to take another shot at one of live poker’s most sought after hardware.
GGPOKER-WSOP Online 2024 Schedule
On August 5, 2024, leading online poker operator GGPoker has announced the return of the global WSOP Online 2024. Taking place for the fifth time on the largest online poker room in the world, the international part of WSOP Online runs from August 18 until September 30 and features a total of 33 gold bracelet events. The number remains the same as last year’s edition and poker players from all over the world in allowed jurisdictions can win a title with the de facto new owner of the WSOP brand.
2024 WSOP Online
The buy-ins throughout the series range from $100 to $25,000 and hundreds of side events will be available as well. Crown jewel on the schedule is once more the WSOP Online Main Event, which has retained all key figures from last year. Once again, the buy-in is $5,000 and at least $25 Million in prize money will be awarded. Multiple Day 1 flights are available and all survivors will retake their virtual seats on Monday, September 23, at 6 p.m. UTC. Last year’s edition set a new record with more than $28.6 million in prize money and GGPoker will certainly aim to put on another big show.
Nine of the 33 WSOP Online gold bracelet events feature a guarantee with more than $60 Million in prize pools set in stone by the GGPoker Network. Among the returning tournaments based on the live series in Las Vegas are the $400 NLHE COLOSSUS and $400 PLOSSUS, the $1,500 MONSTER STACK No-Limit Hold’em, $777 LUCKY SEVENS Bounty 7-Handed NLH, as well as the $1,500 Millionaire Maker.
Most casual players will have their eyes set on the $215 Mystery Millions, as the event boasts a gargantuan $10 Million guarantee with $1 Million top bounty up for grabs. Likewise, Event #12: $500 Mini Main Event is certain to gather a lot of attention among the low and mid-stakes players with a guarantee of $2.5 Million. The same prize money guarantee also applies for Event #2: $300 Gladiators of Poker at the start of the series.
Poker enthusiasts with deeper pockets don’t have to worry about a lack of options either. The same huge $10 Million guarantee is also featured in Event #33: $10,300 GGMillion$ High Roller, which represents the recurring weekly flagship high-stakes contest of the operator. Other tournaments on the more expensive side include a $5,000 6-Handed NLH Championship, $5,000 Short Deck Championship [3-Stack], $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $10,000 Heads Up NLH Championship.
Tuesday, September 24 will feature the most expensive tournament on the schedule in Event #29: $25,000 GGMillion$ Super High Rollers Championship. While not boasting any guarantee, the tournament is certain to attract some of the biggest names in the world of poker.
Real names of all finalists in the 33 WSOP gold bracelet events on the GGPoker network will be revealed once the respective final table has been reached. All in-the-money finishes will also be made available in real name after the conclusion as well. Unlike in most other online poker tournaments on GGPoker, deal making in the bracelet events will not be possible.
The final tables of the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event and GGMillion$ High Roller will be live-broadcasted on a delay on September 24 and October 1 on the GGPoker Twitch and YouTube channels. Seven-time WSOP gold bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu and fellow GGPoker ambassador Jeff Gross have been confirmed as hosts for these two showdowns.
Additional Promotions for all Participants
Another highlight on the schedule are the Continental Flipout Freerolls with $3 Million in prize pools to be awarded. There are four different continents considered by GGPoker including the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Mediterranean. The 33 individual Flipouts have prize pools from as little as $25,000 all the way up to $250,000.
Players from the winner’s continent join a Flipout tournament for an additional chance to earn a boost for their bankroll. Only those who have participated in the respective WSOP Online Bracelet Event (including satellites) will be eligible to join.
During the upcoming online series, every country will furthermore compete for the official WSOP Online Bracelet Count Rankings. The top 10 countries will unlock a special Freeroll for all of its members who have played a Bracelet Event or satellite.
For both the Continental Flipouts and the Country Competition Freerolls, WSOP Paradise satellite tickets will be awarded. The last chance for players to win a WSOP gold bracelet in the current year will take place on the Bahamas from December 6 to 19. Among the 15 scheduled tournaments is also the Super Main Event, featuring an elevated price tag of $25,000 along with the largest live event GTD of all time, $50 Million.
All 2024 WSOP Online bracelet events have already been listed on the GGPoker promotion page. This newest major online series follows shortly after the ground-breaking announcement that the close-knit partnership between the two brands will enter its final stage. Only two weeks after the conclusion of the in-person spectacle in Las Vegas, it was confirmed that GGPoker has acquired the WSOP brand from Caesars Entertainment for $500 Million.
