IVAN HON CHEONG LEE wins the Megastack Single Day HR

Ivan Hon Cheong Lee

Just last week, Hong Kong’s Ivan Hon Cheong Lee crushed the high roller scene in Taiwan, walking away as the second richest earner of the USOP festival. Lee seems to have brought the winning vibe to Cambodia. On Day 4, he overcame the star studded 67 entry field of the 5K Megastack Single Day High Roller to lock up the largest first place payout of the festival to date of USD 93,607.

Leading up to Lee’s win, he entered the final table with 13 bb while the chip leader Khanh Nguyen sat with three times his stack. By three-handed, Lee doubled up twice through Nguyen to take the lead: the first hand was Qs7d over Qd3s on a board 3h2cAd10d7c, followed by QcJs over Ac3c on a board KhJd6dQd4d.

Nguyen continued to plunge, losing another shove, this time against Victor Chong with Qd10h dusted by Kc8c. Lee put Nguyen out of his misery in 3rd place with Ad2d over KdQh on a board 4h7d5c9s4s.

Heads up against Chong lasted just one shocking hand. Lee landed the flush with Ah7c on a board Qh2h5s6h7h to defeat Chong’s Ad7s.
